Lumen Christi College, however, is a remarkable success story - a 40-acre bastion of leaming in the middle of Londonderry's traditionally Catholic Bogside. Overlooking the city and the river Foyle, with spacious grounds and excellent sporting facilities, it boasts handsome 18th and 19th-century buildings alongside new science laboratories, a sports hall, a home economics block, a careers suite and classrooms.
